Can you tell the difference between hexagon bolts and high-strength bolts?

Outer hexagonal boltsand high-strength bolts are both commonbolt products, and they have been widely used in construction due to their excellent performance. However, there are differences between the two.

hex head bolts21. Thescrewhole of ordinary bolts may not be larger than that of high-strength bolts. In fact, ordinary bolt holes are relatively small.

2. Ordinary bolts with A and B grade screw holes are generally only 0.3-0.5mm larger than bolts. Class C screw holes are generally 1.0-1.5mm larger than bolts.

3. The material of high-strength bolts is different from ordinary bolts. High strength bolts are generally used for connections. Commonly used ones are M16~M30. Ultra large high-strength bolts have unstable performance and should be used with caution.

4. The bolt connection of the main components of the building structure is generally made with high-strength bolts.

5. The high-strengthboltsproduced by the factory are not classified into pressure bearing or friction type.

6. Friction type high-strength bolts transmit loads through friction, so the difference between the screw and the screw hole can reach 1.5-2.0mm.

7. Friction type high-strength bolts cannot fully utilize the potential of bolts. In practical applications, friction type high-strength bolts should be used for veryimportant structures or structures that bear dynamic loads, especially when reverse stress is caused by loads. At this time, the untapped bolt potential can be used as a safety reserve. In addition, pressure bearinghigh-strength boltsshould be used for connection to reduce cost.

8. Ordinary hexagonal bolts can be reused, while high-strength bolts cannot be reused.

9. Ordinary bolts are generally grade 4.4, 4.8, 5.6, and 8.8. High strength bolts are generally grade 8.8 and 10.9, with grade 10.9 being the most common.

10. Friction type high-strength bolts transmit loads through friction, so the difference between the screw and the screw hole can reach 1.5-2.0mm.inner hex bolt

11. The standard force transmission characteristics of pressure bearing high-strength outer hexagonal bolts are to ensure that under normal use, the shear force does not exceed the friction force, which is the same as that of friction type high-strength bolts.
