DIN 404 slotted screw

The Bülte screw range has recently been expanded with the “DIN 404 slotted screw” series, which consists of an enlarged cylindrical head, a straight slot on the top of the head and two radial holes on each side of the head.
Unlike metal DIN 404 screws commonly available on the market, this new series of screws is made entirely of nylon. Nylon fasteners have a number of advantages over metal fasteners: they are lighter, cheaper and easier to recycle. They do not conduct electricity and are not subject to corrosion.
The slotted screw has a unique design on this head that is shaped like a cheese/pan head that includes two holes that run down the sides of the head at a 90 degree angle – dual purpose. First, a DIN 404 slotted screw can be tightened by inserting a T-bar into the hole if the screw cannot be tightened with a screwdriver. Second, a lock wire can be attached to the cross hole to secure the screw.
DIN 404 slotted screws are designed to be tightened or loosened from the side, not from the top, by inserting a small rod into one of the side radial holes in the head. This is useful when access to the top of the screw is limited.
Slotted screws DIN 404 are also used in mechanical engineering, instrument making and industry for fastening structural elements made of various materials.
In terms of design, the standard color for DIN 404 slotted screws is natural nylon. However, polyamide can be dyed on request according to the RAL chart, which means that slotted screws of the DIN 404 series are suitable for any industrial application, regardless of color.
